New guidelines outline what iPhone data Apple can give to police
If you store your stuff on iCloud, Apple can provide most of that information to law enforcement if it's requested.
We've known (or suspected) for some time that Apple can provide data from iOS devices to US law enforcement, whether that data is stored on Apple's iCloud servers or on a password protected phone or tablet. In an effort to be more transparent about this process, Apple yesterday posted an extensive document describing what data the company can provide to law enforcement and the processes for requesting that data...

Lease time
Hi,
have had a few issues lately, and figured out that it boils down to lease time. I can get online with a valid mac, but after an hour or so I get booted from the network, and the mac I use at the time gets blacklisted. I have read there is a way around the lease time by doing something via telnet or serial, but have been unable to find any information on it. I would be grateful if someone could give me some breadcrumbs to follow so I can educate myself more on this =)
Odd thing is lease time and renew time are 7 days and 3.5 days
(51) Lease time = 604800 seconds
(58) T1 (renew) = 302400 seconds
(59) T2 (rebind) = 529200 seconds
Lease is infinite = 0
I have seen people hint at a way around this by performing something via telner or serial. Any hints as to what that might be?

SNMPRape Help!
So, RR in my area finally decided to start pissing on the tall grass with the big boys about a month ago. My poor little 5101 with Hax Rev39 got knocked off. I have an SBG6580 subed, but I want to get my lil blackie back up and running. After a lot of hemorrhoid inducing reading on here and SBH, I need some help.
1/ I have tried using Fastcert to scan for certs to no avail...go figure!
2/ I came across one of Drew's post and got SNMPRape, funny, but I am finding mods and config files
, tested plenty of the macs and the work in parts of town were D3 hasn't been pushed through!!! I need help, if possible in getting certs from my scan results. Or am I chasing a purple unicorn here?
3/ Is my only option to grab the certs from my sub? Is that what this hobby has come down to?
Can somebody please give me some pointers here...I will take a PM for 100 Alex!!!!
Good grief!!

AMD 9590
I just stumbled on a brand new in the box 9590 at a yard sale in Boca Raton...Cost me a whopping $50. Simply dumbfounded at my luck...can hardly wait to to see how high it will OC. I need a real Mobo as my 8320 is only able to do 4 ghz due to the shitty vrm's on the current board. Going for a r290x in the coming weeks to take advantange of my basically higher binned 8350...$50, no shit! almost free! I'm quite bored to tears "testing" on Comcast...I've been fortunate enough to get as high as 220/40 and it is unbelievably boring to have that ridiculous speed to be honest. That particular setup was not gained through my experience, it was a gift from someone I know and I used it for a week and it just sits on a shelf now believe it or not... You can only download so much before it becomes just plain greedy and TBH between biz class and a few testers I have way more b/w than any one person could ever need.
Overclocking hardware is now much more interesting to me and I have finally grown comfortable with liquid cooling enough that I am willing to push some voltage on some expensive hardware. Air cooling is completely inadequate for AMD chips at anything other than stock speeds. this will be fun! I picked up a 50 inch LG 120hz Tv at the same yard sale for $250...lol. The new Alien escape game should be awesome on this setup once it comes out around the Holidays....It's good to be a cheap SOB sometimes...lol

DPC2100r2 Latest OEM Firmware?
I cannot log into my modem (I get this error,) here are the details:
I would like to attempt to update the firmware on the modem with another original firmware dump (my ISP will not update,) but would like to try the OneClickFlash method (I don't have serial stuff) but I unsure if its safe this way
Anybody know the latest OEM firmware out there for this model, and is it safe to use snmp/tftp over lan to update it?
If so do I still need to use these commands used when flashing haxorware for forcing longer/unsigned firmware?
Also, if I were to go the serial route, what tools (cable, etc.) would you guys recommend I purchase? (ebay links would be nice)
Thanks in advance

USB JTAG software
I have only ever used a parallel JTAG, which was fine, met my needs OK.
No real reason to do anything.
But I found a USB JTAG, it has a prolific serial chip on it.
It was for an Arduino project.
I think it should be useable for cable modems too.
I installed the prolific chip driver, it works in device manager.
I have a couple of DOCSIS 3 units I want to play with, a Motorola, a Cisco, a Scientific Atlanta. Assuming they have JTAG, which I have not yet investigated.
What software for reflashing modems would be usable?
I tried the BlackCat USB software, that doesn't seem to know it's there.
I think the usbjtag.com software only works with their product, which this is not.
Any ideas?

I would like to learn this modem use and I have some question/problem.
Yesterday I am online with this modem (Motorola SB5101E) but today the not.
When i connect with LAN cabel the modem without coax cabel work fine ( i can connect putty, browser), but when i connect the coax cabel the telnet and browser lost the connection. All led is light but no internet connection.
I think the problem the config file but i don't know where can i download or how create this which good for my country.
Thanks the help!

SB5101 Send and Recieve lights blinking?
The power light is solid, the send and receive lights are blinking, the online light is off and the activity light is blinking.
The 5101 does not have haxorware or any other firmware on it so I can not do a telnet log as of now, it's stock, It had valid certs and was working fine for awhile but I don't recall ever running into this combination of blinking lights. From my understanding it is trying to update but it won't. I've tried to reboot, tried it on a different router with things changed, let it sit for a little bit and still no update or anything further. It started this over a week ago but I have just not decided to look into it.
Not that it probably matters, but on the stock activity page it gets all the way to Time of Day and then that fails and it reboots with the flashing send and receive lights.
Don't flame me too hard, I've been reading again and trying to research my this situation.
Software Version: SB5101-2.11.0.0-GA-04-597-NOSH
Hardware Version: 1
MIB Version: II
GUI Version: 1.0
End of life for this modem? If that's the case, what's recommended to replace this with for testing? I know everyone has a preference, but I am interested in what others are using for their testing.
