SB6120 EBAY COMCAST SETUP

So im new to all this, my buddy states that if i buy this SB6120 it can get free internet? I have searched everywhere on how to set it up but not finding nothing.

I wanna purchase a Forceware 1.2 SB6120 3.0 off ebay but its kinda pointless if its not going to get me free internet Wink I understand there are risk but my questions are when i get this is it pretty much plug in and bam i got internet? I have active cable line to my home.

If i gotta do more stuff please give me a tutorial or the files i need to accomplish this...Thanks

Can't connect more than 1 device at a time.

I have a motorola sb5101 with haxorware 1.1 rev39 and a Tp-link td-w8951nd in bridge mode. Internet works fine either using ethernet directly to the pc or using wi-fi. But here's the weird things:

I have a samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1. And a 2nd internet service (It means a 2nd router with another ISP); Everything works fine there...

But that tablet can't get internet access through the tp-link: It connects and can access to the configuration page of the tp-link but no internet access; At the same time i can connect a 2nd device to that network (either by ethernet or wi-fi) and that 2nd device CAN access internet BUT doesn't have access to the router's config. page... It means:

-I connect both, the pc and the tablet to that network with the motorola + tp-link in bridge mode.

-The pc have internet access just fine but can't access to 192.168.1.1 (to configure the router) But instead, can access to the motorola page (192.168.100.1).

-The tablet don't have internet access and can access to 192.168.1.1 but CAN'T access to 192.168.100.1.

Tried the same on my 2nd network and both can access to internet and see the other devices in that network.

I though it was some sort of misconfiguration so i removed all the keys and passwords. It was the same...

Then i though it was a conflict with the DHCP server so i unchecked that option in the haxorware and configured the tp-link to be the DHCP server... No luck.

Then i tried to do the opposite: Set in "relay" the DHCP config in the tp-link and checked the dhcp option in haxorware... No luck.

AND! I found another weird thing: Regardless what kind of configuration i try, i can't give internet access to more than 1 device at the same time.

The device with internet access doesn't show a LAN ip, but the real external ip, all the others shows their static assigned ips, can see each other in the network but none has internet access...

Any advice or help? At least is possible to have simultaneously more than 1 devices connected to internet with that modem and at the same time have available the network file sharing between them?

Simple poor signal if you have loose ends

I put in a service call due to poor signal, I had two loose ends in the house where tv boxes used to be. The tech saw there was a low signal level. Then the tech gave me two of the connectors below and I placed them on the lines, problem fixed. Connector is a coax to coax, simple little thing.

If you have loose ends in your house that are unused, this could be your fix for those who do experience signal loss. If you don't have loose ends, then you probably need an amp. Best of luck to you

I know many of you probably know this or don't have these type of issues but if this post helps anyone, then it was worth it!

SB5101 Haxorware on Docsis 3...still posible?

I got a sb5101 running on haxo. ISP here is twc and they currently have docsis 3.0 My question is, what do I need to do to start testing my new modem? I have internet service with them but im trying to get this modem working but after all the forums I've read here and on sbhacker.net all I see is stuff about a telnet log and a lot stuff about jtags...what is my first step to get this going? Thanks in advance.

Comcast modems

This forum appears to be dead unless I am misreading the date format. :-)

I need to learn how to get one of my dusty SB modems back online for testing Comcast connectivity.

I had a cloned image that has been assinated by Comcast.

I see guys selling modems online for $250 and I am too broke for that shit. So was wondering if it is possible for me to get my modem working again? I have a JTAG and sb5100, 6120, and 5100 modems.

I heard about certs but can't get that info. I also just read something about a bin file just for techs that work. Can any help me? If u r in Chicago we can meet in person. I do not work for an ISP or the police.

my modem randomly restarts itself

I have a hacked modem and recently it has been rebooting at random. It can be between a acouple minutes to half an hour to 8 hours. Ive heard it can be the frequency but im not sure.

Haxorware on a clone?

It's been a while since I have used Haxorware . I have been running a cloned modem for a while now but recently I have been getting reboots a lot during the day. Night time is fine usually so I'm inclined to think it's an ISP problem as this same image works great on another node. I want to flash has so I can get a log to post when it reboots. I'm on cc and dint know if flash has to my clone would kill or not. Any advice would be great . Thanks

SB5100 / SB5101 - Newbie and lost!

I have been surfing this forum and reading various threads for days now, but feel basically lost and not really sure where to start or indeed if what I want to try is actually possible. I would be delighted to receive a little guidance from someone.

Situation. I am subscribed to a cable service I am issued an SB5101, I would like to "adjust" the download/upload speeds if possible. I also own an SB5100, this is running SB5100Mod. I initially just copied the SB5101 s/n and MAC's to the SB5100. I find the SB5100 appears to go through the whole process of initializing but skips the last part "Initialize Baseline Privacy"

From reading this forum I understand that this is because the SB5100 is missing some certs? I assume that if the SB5100 did have the correct certs, then there might be the possibility to modify the CFG file to "adjust" the up/down speeds? Or do the cert's also determine the modem's speed parameter's?

So I imagine a couple of possibilities :-

1). Somehow extract the SB5101 certs and get them into the SB5100.

2). Modify the SB5101 with Haxorware - without disturbing the certs (I still have a PC with a parallel port and the SB5100 Jtag cable adapter, it does appears that the SB5101 has the same Jtag connections?

Despite reading the threads, it's just not clear to me if I can attempt the above, or even if the above is the best route, or indeed if its even possible.

I would really appreciate a little help or guidance. Thanks!

15+ years mining BTC experience but I have jack shyt knowledge about modem/mods etc.. Def no time to be spending hours reading old, outdated and flamming post for info... fast learner and will pay in bitcoins for the service..Im guessing a few hours to ride under the wings of a pro who knows their shyt. .. No time for BS..If your serious PM me if not keep it moving...I respect all but time is money, no time to get into a flamming back and forth match with some prick hiding behind a computer....

No offense but I just call it like it is...

Hey guys i got a new motorola cable modem sbv5121
i want to change my ip address, i used to do this by changing the mac address of the modem ethernet device via the http interface but, on this firmware, there are no options for changing the mac address (only read only options), any tips on this ?

I currently have a SB5101 modem, i'm really new to the hacking scene with modems. I would appreciate any links to instructions; currently every time I do a google search regarding this type of matter, it gives me intel from 2008. I want to know what drivers I should install. If required, I can provide pictures of what we have so far. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Currently installed Blackcat USB Jtag - AT90USB162

Hello Guys,

For the first of all I have a SB5101 Model with Haxorware V1.1 Rev 39.
I need some help because I don't receive internet access, the first of all that I see when I go to the Haxorware control panel is this.

Ok, then when I do go to CMD.exe in Administrator I type "netsh int ip reset C:\ipresetlog.txt"

Wait like 1 or 2 minutes Online signal went online but flashing.
Then I see this on the overview.

Ok is normal now but no internet access. I see this on the event log.

Any ideas for this? Glad you can help guys, sorry for my bad english. (Blue background text is the error that I got same day of issues)

EDIT: When I go to status it says "Locked" idk if that help.
