Get nonvol from virgin dump?

$

I am wondering how I can get a nonvol from sb5101 virgin dumps. More specifically I am trying to pull certs from them. I noticed an animated GIF that drew posted, although it requires usb jtag and I can't find the cracked version anywhere, and the sbhacker link is broken. So I am wondering what is the easiest way to get the nonvol from the dump, so I can then pull the certs from the nonvol?

Bricked my 1st SB6121

$

I've read & read several forums before I started but I end up bricking my SB6121. This is what I did...

USBJTAGNT_____SPI________ISP
Pin1----------------------------->R153 (R/S)
Pin3-------------->Pin15
Pin5-------------->Pin8
Pin9-------------->Pin16
Pin11------------>Pin7
Pin2------------->Pin10 (GRN)

I connected the jtag open up the program, jtag detected, plug the power on the modem, green light on, hit ID but flash was not detected. I tried letting the modem boot up, then connecting the jtag & still got the same result. I verified connection points and tried again. Once I power the modem the send, received & ethernet light are on but no power light? Modem is bricked!

I'm confused about the ISP point & what procedure to follow? I was going to used external power but since I have a known ISP point decided to go with this setup here...
http://www.haxorware.com/forums/thread-2596.html

BTW: I also tried Pin2 ISP (U7) to USBJATNT Pin1 but modem doesn't power.

Clear arp table on sb5101 how?

$

0
As per title, I have a stale arp and do not know how to clear it. I only use this modem with my ps3 online, so how to clear the whole table or just that one entry, doesnt matter. My searches yeilded results such as using a script, but this is generally done from isp end. I'd like to acheive this without reflashing to clear it. Anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

I can connect any other device to the modem and it works fine, it's just the ps3. I have also connected the same ps3 to my sub line and it works fine there to. So I assume stale arp.

also running the latest hax0rware on this one, diag.

Hi everyone!

first off all I'm going to tell you my problem.

six months ago I get my first and only sb5101 with Haxoware Version 1.1 Revision 39, everything was working perfect 27 Mb aprox (forced config), but from 3 weeks to now I just have 1 Mb, (that's the legal speed that I'm Paying) also I'm using the Mac Addres from my legal modem into my Sb5101.
i'll tried with diferent BPI settings but nothing works.

here's my Telnet Log (no real MAC's by the way)

I just spent 5 hours trying to flash a cm to no avail! I couldn't get my NT to write ANYTHING w/o making a brick!
It's been quite awhile since I tested anything new, apparently! I found 9 5100's in my node and I wanted to see if I could get one goin..

Everything would cmpram fail and I went as far as resetting 3 different computers to clean images for nothing1lmfao!Downloaded tons of vb suites...win updates...you name it.

I was just about to order a new NT and I noticed the usb cable had a flat spot in it where I obviously rolled my damn chair over it...

Hello there

I'm new to this forum as you can see. I registred to ask question about my modem and I want to know if its blocked somehow or something similar.

Well I've flashed to haxorware about 2 years ago was using it all untill now never had any problems.
This morning internet went down for a hour or so came back and then I tried to surf abit and went again down. So I checked my macs switched it same crap it wont pass upstream. I suspect that i got blocked somehow but I'm not quite sure if that is possible. If it is do I need to change modem and reflash it or?

Here is my Ds and Us

Frequency 754 MHz
Status Locked
Annex EuroDOCSIS
Modulation QAM256
Symbol Rate 6952000 sym/sec
Receive Power -19.5 dBmV
Signal to Noise ratio 28.5 dB

Upstream

Frequency 58 MHz
Channel ID 2
Status Ranging
Mode ATDMA
Transmit Power 40.2 dBmV

Thanks

My friend recently bought a modem and wants to test and check it out I recently heard from a family member that people around here are selling clones so i would like to know how to tell if it's a clone

Something weird

Hello guys, something weird is going on and i just can't seem to understand it. I have like 4 testing modems. I have 1 which was up and running with a mac + certs since BPI+ is enabled in my area. Now a few days ago my modem went down. It seems to go online but a few seconds later it reboots. I keep getting this message.

Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicas
t Maintenance opportunities received - T4 timeout
Logging event: Modem Is Shutting Down and Rebooting...

So that modem keeps rebooting.

Now the weird thing is that i took the same mac and certs and put it one of my other modem and it worked but the same thing started happening after about 2 days. Now i put it on my third modem and it is currently working also. Any thoughts as to what is happening? I have gotten lazy and haven't been keeping up since my testing days.

On my first modem i enabled the ignore t4 station maintenance option and it fixed it for about a day but after that the modem would not go online, on the second modem that didn't work though. Any thoughts and help would be greatly appreciated. Anything i could read on ideas? anything would be helpful.

Is this normal for a bricked modem, or do I have a bad connection?

I am doing a little bit of spring cleaning and decided I would fix a couple bricked modems now that I got my NT. Both of them became bricked the same way, by upgrading firmware via haxrware GUI and then having the connection cut out due to an issue with my former ethernet adapter.

My issue is that I can't detect both modems:

The first modem I was actually able to detect after a few tries and then I tried the poke method of debricking. I installed a 2mb sb5101 flash dump on it and unplugged power/plugged it back in and the lights came on for a little longer before going out. Now I can't detect it at all. Here is a log from that one:

Code:
Copyright (C) 2010-2015
USB JTAG NT    0.68
Target: SB5101Mod
-detect
IDCODE FFFFFFFF
-poke fffe230c 3

Now my second modem was completely untouched since I bricked it, the same way as the first. The issue with this one is that it won't detecta aswell. I try the poke method on this one and it just says manufacturer not found, which is different from the first. Here is a log of that:

Code:
Copyright (C) 2010-2015
USB JTAG NT    0.68

Manufacturer not found 03F

The thing is that I am using a brand new solderless header pin, and I am wondering if it is not connecting to the board properly. When I stick it in the holes it barely goes in, and one little touch will knock it out of place.

Does it look like a bad connection or a standard bricked modem? How can I proceed from here? Since I cant detect I am limited to the poke method to debrick it and that isn't working, can anyone shed some light? Huge PITA.AngryAngryAngryAngry

Help me into a decision.

Hello gentlemen, a noob like me could get some tips from the pros forum?

I have a 5101 but I'm thinking about getting one with forceware or any other program that can be set up by SNMP.

I was also thinking about getting a programmer, BlackcatUSB or UsbJtagNT, this second is expensive it hurts, but it seems worth it for what they say.

I have a dpc3925 dropped by here too, I saw on another forum that you can be set in factory mode to send certificates.

Taking into account what I said above what you think is best for me? Catch a programmer and try to program in dpc3925 or pick another modem with forceware? If the programmer is the option that you recommend, which one do you think I should take? If the modem is the option, what modem do you think I should take?

Thanks in advance for everything I learned by forum posts.

Hugs!

How does CMTS MIC work- what is md5'd?

Can someone please point me to documentation on what is md5'd in the CMTS MIC? I am trying to understand specifically how DOCSIS 3 security model would prevent a user from getting a legitimate subbed config for one tier and then changing to a different (cheaper) tier and continuing to use the previous config. I'm very much enjoying learning about how DOCSIS 3 security feature work and would love to read some documentation on how these are implemented on the CMTS.

Thanks in advance!
