SBG901 memory dump

Wats up modem modding junkies,

So I flashed my sb5100 with sb5100mod firmware. Now I'm trying to extract certs from sbg901 sub modem. The only problem is most threads i find are outdated for instance this thread:

Seemed very helpful and somewhat still is because it proves that the certs can be extracted. But before even trying to extract the cert i need to get the memory dump.

Which I don't know how to do as yet. So I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten the memory dump from this modem using these headers:

if not then I'll have to solder on the pins of the chip and extract the dump.

6141 Latest Firmware

Hi everyone,

Where can I get the latest firmware to flash my modem. Having a slew of issues with my ISP. They won't update the modem so hoping that changing the firmware will help.

Appreciate any help.

Can someone help me from getting certs from this modems? There is any tutorial to putting wires and others metods to getting cert from original and working ISP modems from my friends and then put to my sb5101e or epc2100 with haxorware latest versions. Please help me

Hey, my ISP is rolling out the brand new Arris DG2470 Cannot find much documentation on it yet, so....anyone know anything about it? It appears to have very impressive speeds and really pushs DOCSIS 3.0 to the limit with 960Mbps Max DS and 240Mbps US and 24x8 channel bonding :3 gonna try and get my hands on one and dump it would love to get one up to max speed one day Big Grin

Uncapping Fibre

So who on here has fibre op service and uses the acatel lucent modem? I have a theory I would like to test, but sadly I am not gonna be in a fibre area for another little while and dont have a fibre modem anyway. What i want to test actually got a friend more speed when i had him try it but it wasnt enough. I want to get the method down to completely uncap fibre. been studying fibre for a while now and find it very interesting in how they authenticate modems....well in my area anyway


This is the acatel modem with the Coaxial input and fibre input:

Why? well, the company around here seems to shut off all ethernet ports on the modem with exception to the one going to their router The Actiontec


Now provided they dont supply this one by default anymore and use a new one I'm sticking all my research around this one. Now, this router has a custom built Bell firmware on it, (irrelevant at the moment) what I have noticed is this. If you take the mac from the actiontec of someone who has a higher tier than you and make that the mac of your PCs NIC with <insert fav mac spoofing software here> then plug your PC directly into the ethernet port that is still functioning on the acatel, VOILA!!! You have a higer tier plan without even needing the actiontec....now some people have been cluing in they want to use their routers instead of the actiontec bell gives out and have been using the exact same method to do so, just spoofing the actiontec routers mac and plugging it in to the acatel.....anyway. its all good fun you can get the mac of others routers and uncap your service blah blah blah (just like DOCSIS....sorta) but I dont wanna stop there. I wanna say fuck the actiontec and figure more out about the acatel

So...to break it down


What I know.
1: They are disabling ethernet ports with exception to the one used by the actiontec. That one is always active


2: they are authenticating by mac address of the router and are limiting speed based on that
(Other areas they use a VLAN as well, but its possible to bypass that using this guide)

What I want to know
1: how do i manipulate the acatel and enable all ethernet ports

2: how do I get the acatel to stop authentication based on router mac and just give out the max speed possible

I have a question. A few years back i bought of BMT his usbjtag he was selling on his website. Somehow i lost the damn drivers now i cant use it to debrick/flash my 5101. Does anyone know how or where i can locate the drivers? Since toms JTAG wont recognize that i have it plugged in.

Router problem need help!

So I just bought a dlink 868l off ebay. While trying to set it up I discovered the ip login actually takes me to a website. Since I am using haxorware and need to set my dns service I cannot access to router logon.
So in other words in order to set up I need Internet access but for Internet access I need router access which needs internet. It's a circle.
Anyone have this happen to them?

First off i would like to say hi to everyone here. Im new to modding and i am trying to learn as much as possible. Unfortunatly i keep coming across outdated material for what i want to know. Just curious if anyone else on here is canadian and has any info on the security of my isp. Will be switching to a smaller carrier riding the backbone of shaw. They are listing sb5100-6100 on their compatible modems list. Curious if maybe i should start with a premodded sb? Your thoughts?. Thanks in advance.

So at last, what I said before, AGAIN comes to pass.. seem's cablewizard's member's are experiencing the dreaded modem reset condition, ha, ha, f'n haha.. fix that ya loser theive's.. notice it only started on cw when ziri connected?

SBG941 just gave me one device conection

I have one sbg941 cable modem and its online but only gave me one device conection to internet, the other ones dont let me conect to internet.
I think its a problem with max CPE buth i dont know how to modify this option with snmp or configuration portal.
If anyone can help me i will appreciate it.

has anyone used windows 10 to run any of the apps , like flashcat usb or usbjat nt??

I'm having a hell of a time trying to run mine (flashcat usb version 350) wont detect ..yes I understand Ive been out of the game for years and I'm little rought on the edges but

Anyone know of any new scanners out there like SnmpCfgAdmin that are built on newer mibs? hell even if someone took SNMPCfgAdmin and re-built it around newer Mibs that'd be great. I'm just looking for something to read and mass set an individual OID but SnmpCfgAdmin is old as fuck so it wont work. Is there a way to do it with Net-Smnp?

I see a SB6141 with Forceware 1.4 for sale for $100 is it worth it? I recently sold my SB6121 to a friend so Im wondering if I should just replace the 6121 or get a 6141.

What you guys think?

hello, so I had this modem sitting in my computer bag for close to 2 years now lol and I have been out of modem adventuring since 2009.
anyways,
SBG6580-3.5.8.2-GA-01-488-01-NOSH this firm on it
and has telnet access, I log in with putty and I dont see much options I dont see "non-vol" dict under cm or anywhere

is it truly showing everything or am I missing something?
